Her breath caught in her throat. HIs gaze blinked in and out of focus for a moment, trailing from her hair to her lips to each of her eyes before finally taking in the full concern in her expression. She quickly began scanning him for injury, paling slightly when her fingers came away warm and wet from the back of his head. His lips parted in confusion at the bright red on her slender fingers.
