Summary
Diggle pulled the car up in front of the house. The driveway was filled by a police cruiser and dilapidated jeep, parked side by side. That picture fit in well with the town surrounding it. Beacon Hills was small and Oliver had watched it unfurl past his window with an unimpressed frown as they drove. The single Sheriff’s station, single high school, dilapidated buildings, and expansive preserve painted a classic small town picture, although he had to admit it was not quite as ‘Smallville’ as he’d expected. There was something off about it though. A feeling of unease and looming danger permeated the quiet streets, as if the town were holding its breath, waiting for some other shoe to drop.
