“How do I—” Wriggling, Hollander weakly tries to break Ilya’s grip. The fight goes out of him almost immediately, a hazy look settling into his eyes, his body relaxing against the bed. “Okay,” he murmurs, trusting Ilya to take care of him.
Every time it flays him open. Here is his rival, naked in his bed, giving Ilya his body and trusting him not to abuse it.
It’s a heady thing.
Ilya blindfolds Shane and unintentionally creates a metaphor for his own feelings.
