Even with the aid of the woolen blanket draped over his legs, in front of fading coals that are more ash than ember, the cold lives in him.

Summary
There’s a tearing noise, like denim torn in two, like flesh rent by the blade of a sword, a heart cleft in twain, the fabric of reality tearing at the seams. All of the air feels sucked out of the world, all that exists is Nanami’s head cupped in his hands and his warm body beneath him. All of time and space has stopped for them.
Or, maybe Nanami’s right? Maybe it’s only stopped for him, selfish little Gojo Satoru, so he can bury his pain in the deep, brown earth of Nanami’s eyes and nowhere else. So he can see and understand.
Saving him really is that simple.

Summary
Eleven years, now, and Nanami has made it here eight times. A pilgrimage, of sorts, if pilgrims had access to the bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka, and two meandering buses to smaller town and smaller village. It’s then only a short walk down quiet lanes to the cemetery where Haibara Yu is buried, a walk that Nanami usually takes alone.

Summary
There is a lot that Nanami Kento wants, and a lot of it is selfish. He wants it to be late summer forever. He wants the beginning of the cicada season. He wants the sunlight in Gojo’s kitchen to sink into his ribcage and light up the darker spaces inside there. He still wants that house by the sea, but now he doesn't want to be there alone.
or,
Nanami spends a decade trying not to let himself want Gojo Satoru. Gojo manages to work his way into Nanami's life anyway.

“Well, if I don’t believe in you, who will?” Gojo flashed a sarcastic grin. “Go on, then. All we have to do is offer it a little of our cursed energy and—allegedly—it’ll do the rest. Think there’ll be fireworks?”
