Summary
[Semi-Self Insert Original Uchiha Character into Jon Snow + Vastayan Heritage]
In which the Bastard of the Lord Paramount of Winterfell is renowned throughout Westeros for a mysterious illness that renders the boy in a near-death state in which he is always asleep. Tales of the Bastard of the North are sung by the bards, told by the gossiping peasants, the somber but guarded men of the North. A boy treasured by Lord Eddard Stark, beloved by his trueborn siblings, loathed by the Lady Tully.
In which Eddard Stark discovers his sister's son to be hale and hearty but falls to a hibernating state of sleep every once in a while, lasting moons and even years. That wasn't the worst of it, no. The reason why he had Jon locked up away in a tower was because the boy was no human. Not with the claws and sharp teeth, or the wolf ears and dragon horns, or the furred tail and the leather wings.
He tries to protect the boy blessed by the Gods from the world that would condemn him to death - only to realize that later on perhaps, the one in need of protection was the world instead.
First chapter is scrapped, will take it down once five chapters are done.

It had started—as always—with something stupid. They’d been sparring; and of course Nie Mingjue had won, but then he had Jiang Cheng pinned to the ground with an arm pressed down onto his neck.
And Nie Mingjue had laughed and said teasingly—‘Give up now, Jiang Wanyin?’
And Jiang Cheng, in a move very unbecoming and stupid of a sect leader, had grinded his hips up and wheezed out a weak moan.
And, well—that leads them to where they are right now, on Jiang Cheng’s bed, Nie Mingjue’s hand wrapped around his throat and choking him in the best way possible.

There was a giggle. But it was not from Katara. Or even Aang.
Sokka’s head snapped over to Zuko, who looked just as shocked as Sokka felt. His cheeks were cherry-red and he had a hand clapped over his mouth. “Did you just laugh?” Sokka asked. Just to make sure his ears still worked.
Zuko spluttered, his cheeks darkening. “What—no! Why would I ever—I mean, what is laughing?” And then, “Your jokes suck anyway!”
OR
Sokka accidentally makes Zuko laugh during one of their fights. He takes it upon himself to continue making Zuko laugh in their future encounters, just as a "distraction tactic."
