Kallus began his trek across the room toward the bag of clothes.
He didn't make it that far. Not with Zeb suddenly standing in the doorway, seemingly frozen in place, his eyes locked on Kallus. Zeb's mouth opened and closed before a stumbled, “Uh, hi,” left him.

Summary
Several months into his tenure as Fulcrum, Kallus is dispatched to a remote Imperial facility where he learns of a program to clone dead Jedi and train them as assassins for the Empire. Summary
Alexsandr Kallus knows he doesn't have much time left. His time as Fulcrum is catching up with him, and he's pretty sure Thrawn already knows and is closing in. So with very little time left, he's asked for a meeting with the one man he knows he doesn't deserve but who he hopes might be willing to give him the smallest amount of pity to let him act on the feelings he's never dared to express before.
