“Good.” Sapnap’s lips ache. His soulmate is gnawing his lower lip again. “You deserve someone real cute, Karl.”

“I thought your eyes were like, yellow. They’re more black now,” Karl said, voice slowing down as he spoke like he was coming to a realization. Sapnap subconsciously continued to work the black henna dye into Karl’s hair, taking a few seconds longer for Karl’s words to click in his head. His hands froze. “I dunno. I know I’m a little colorblind, but I think I would’ve noticed a difference that big.”
“They’re- they’re black?” Sapnap’s gaze drifted from Karl’s face to the black locks his fingers were tangled in. Most of Karl’s hair was dyed now, sticky and glinting in the light from how wet the dye was. Only the back of his head was still that faded yellow. “How much black?”

Soulmate AU: Your eyes match your soulmate’s hair color. If they dye their hair, your eyes change colors. Sapnap doesn't consider himself the type to fall head over heels for just any guy he ran into. Especially not guys who hit on him while he was working. Something was entrancing about Karl though, and so without hesitation, he agreed to have the stranger over to his house to help him dye his hair for the millionth time.
