Summary
Jin took a deep breath and braced himself as he stepped through the door. He had no idea where it would lead him this time but he had a feeling it would be nowhere good. He closed his eyes fighting against nausea that the shift always caused whenever he travelled to a new world.
When everything stopped spinning and the churning in his stomach subsided Jin opened his eyes. He was laying on soft grass in the middle of a field with a few trees scattered around and a dark wall of a forest looming on the horizon. As he took in his surroundings the world around him came into focus and the sounds filtered in.
Jin could hear faint shouts in the distance. He could not make out any words nor determine if there were any to begin with but he pushed it to the back of his mind as soon as he heard a coo of a dove above him.
