    Summary

For the record, Shen Yuan wants it known that he does not want to be an emperor! He neither has the skills nor the wit to successfully lead a country, especially one as chaotic and wild as the demon realm. He doesn’t even know how to handle the inventory of a grocery store, how can he possibly handle an entire empire by himself?

...It does not look like he has a choice, though.

    Summary

Shen Yuan: No, see, but if I stick to the childhood sweethearts route, I can be Binghe's other adoptive mother. A teacher is like a father, and the teacher's wife will be the mom.
Shen Jiu, a person who is also on the ace spectrum: No men will bother my wife, AND we can sleep in the same bed and hold hands whenever. An appropriate solution.

Qiu Haitang begins to act differently after awaking from a week long fever. Shen Jiu is concerned by the amnesia no one else seems to be picking up on, but he can admit he appreciates her new attitude.

    Summary

There was an aura of mystic whisperings around Zhao Qinglin. That surely the weight of future visions untethered him from this earthly coil as it did many Seers. What a crushing responsibility it must be, to subtly shift fate this way and that. How tragic, how sad- this is all reasonable for why Zhao Qinglin ignored the urgent request for the third time in a row! Or perhaps some tragedy was prevented by his non answer...

That was how simpletons like his fellow Peak Lords rationalized it.

Shen Qingqiu thought that perhaps Zhao Qinglin was just a lay about. Kan Zhanbu was the tiniest of the twelve Peaks. The last that Shen Qingqiu had heard, the Peak only boasted one Elder, two Masters, and five Disciples- none of this counting Zhao Qinglin himself. Unless he spent all day gazing into the sun, he had more than enough time to pick up a brush and do his job.

The flap of a butterflies wings can cause storms halfway across the world. How might the winds of destiny shift if a heart is touched?

    Summary

The boy was sitting cross legged, bent over and seemingly stuck in a continuous cycle of growing flowers and then letting them wither with what they could only guess to be spiritual power. Mud and dirt caked the boy, but his features could still be seen. He was wearing dark emerald robes that would’ve looked like black in the shaded forest if it wasn’t for the ray of light breaking through the leaves to paint the boy in a shimmering gold. The boys long hair was flowing freely behind him back, the black locks lying limp behind him in his sitting position.

He grew a flower, the deep crimson color reminding Shen Jiu of blood. Then he continued to pour qi into the already bloomed bud, causing it to shrivel in on itself and die.

Then he grew the flower again. Then watched it die.

Again and again. Like he was waiting for something new to happen without changing his action.

“Who are you?” Fu Guiying asked hesitantly. The boy had yet to look up, showing no signs of recognition for the humans now standing beside him.

    The boy looked up.

Green eyes that matched Shen Jiu’s own stared at him. The boys eyes looked dead. He looked haunted, like he had seen something he could never unsee.
