    “Things might suck right now, but you’re going to be okay in the end I promise.” This voice didn’t come from behind or above him, or anywhere he would have expected to hear a voice.
    It wasn’t even inside his head like Mike used to be, instead it felt as though it was emanating from his very own heart and soul.
    “Don’t be afraid, I’m not like Mike.” Those words did little to bring him comfort, instead only bringing him a deeper sense of panic as he followed the single red wire down to his chest.

    Following Spamton's failed ascension and a fight with the heroes of Prophecy, Spamton discovers that he's traded one set of strings for another when Kris does as he requested and gives him (a piece of) their Soul.

    They say they want to help him be free and get the happy ending they deserve, but who knows. He's been burned by disembodied voices before.
