Summary
Geralt's apologizes will never be enough to make Jaskier happy and comfortable around him again and he knows it.
But if they spend the Winter together, maybe Geralt will be able to convein his feelings, his sorrows and his broken heart and let Jaskier understands what really lies below the bad-witcher-surface he's constantly wearing.
Maybe he doesn't deserves forgiveness or, even more important, Jaskier's friendship - and heart- again but Jaskier, instead, deserves a family and to be loved.
And Geralt will give them to him, even if he has no right to have a place next to him anymore.(Just another fix-it, post-mountain fanfiction.)

Geraskier. Modern!AU sort of.
Jaskier and Geralt are not officially a couple and they are not together yet but they are living and traveling together.
One day, they have a horrible fight and Geralt said some mean things to Jaskier, breaking his heart like he never did before.Jaskier sends a message to Yennefer (who is friend with both of them) and asks to stay with her for a few days.
He just can't be with Geralt anymore.

They stay silent for some minutes and Cirilla seems to feel asleep in front of the fire.
Jaskier feels more tired than that time he and Geralt walked for an entire day to surpass a desert and finally nearby a beautiful lake.
He slept for like ten hours after and Geralt didn’t wake him up never once and made him breakfast.
It was one of the few times Jaskier felt important for Geralt.
“Jaskier...”
Cirilla’s voice sounds muffled, but he gives her his attention, anyway.
“You know, I didn’t hear stories about Yennefer and the Witcher but about the Witcher and his bard. And they were beautiful stories.”
Jaskier smiles before the sleep takes off every opportunity to reply. He wants that all the stories were true, even if just a little. -

"Where are we? I'm not sure I visited this country before."
Geralt's eyes drift to the castle not very far from the forest they were hiding for a few hours. He feels his breath accelerate but he doesn't have another option: they have to hide there.
Cirilla needs to rest and it's not safe to travel further if they will not rest enough.
"This is Letthenove. I have a friend there, he will help us."
If Jaskier is there and he's lucky enough to not be thrown out after what he did.*
Geralt is traveling with Cirilla, trying to not be captured by the Nilfgaardian soldiers. He can't stop, he can't take a break and he can't think of anything else but take Cirilla to Kaer Morhen and let her be safe... until they find themselves on Letthenove.
Geralt knows Cirilla needs to take a break and rest so he goes even if he's not sure if Jaskier wants to meet him after what he did.
But what he finds when he knocks on the door is not Jaskier: is Julian Alfred Pankratz, Lord and Viscont of Letthenove.
His bard is not the same anymore.
