The lawyer shakes his head as Dabi snarls, “If I have to live with the old man, I’d rather fucking stay in prison."
Natsuo makes a noise of frustration. "Are you sure me or Nee-san can't take custodianship during this probation?"
The lawyer nods. "It has to be a licensed hero."
"And our quirks just aren't considered strong enough," Natsuo sighs, slumping into his seat.
The room goes quiet, and Shouto says, "He can stay with me."
Everyone stares at Shouto, but Shouto is looking at Dabi, who smirks. "Why the fuck not? I'll stay with peppermint."

Dante faced an age-old dilemma— tell his friends and family that he's in a relationship with his twin brother who has tried to kill each of them at some point or another, or try to keep it a secret and incur the wrath of said brother? On one hand, everyone in his life would be disgusted and hate him. On the other, Vergil would be upset with him.
Alright, maybe it wasn’t a common consideration, but someone else must have gone through something similar at one point or another, right?
Or - Both past and present Dante are forced to do some introspection, coming to the conclusion he always has - he loves his brother and will do anything he can to keep him. Even if it means growing up a little.

Missing Chris is less of an emotion these days and more of a physical entity. He’s sure everyone can see that he’s slowly hollowing himself out, that he can’t do much of anything else.
But when Jee laughs at him trying to get his tongue to touch his nose, and Mara loops one of her arms through his to keep him from tossing the rest of his cup in the garbage, Eddie feels solid again.
Maybe he likes yellow birthday cake ice cream after all.
(or, gerrard messes with the team's schedules and eddie 'i just drove my son to flee the state' diaz is the only option to watch mara and jee-yun after school on tuesdays, which, shouldn't be a problem at all, right?)
