“Can you jump off ceilings?” Scar asked him. Staring down at the bottom of the ground as he did so.
“Well,” Looking down it would be quite a fall, Grian had done stunts like this before to get away from moments like these, but jumping off the roof? Perhaps only once or twice, and he didn’t consider himself the best to do so. “I could be better.”
“Take my hand then.” Scar offered it once again, his smile emitting comfort. There wasn't much time to think as the knights were right behind them. So Grian trusted blindly and took it without worrying too much about it.
Or: Grian, a thief who’s just trying to live in peace, encounters some issues after he tries to steal a cake. It all escalates from there, and the new guy he met is not helping.

Summary

Dread sunk into his stomach.

He paused his mining, glancing between the two warily.
'I think though you claim to want to be a vampire…'
He continued mining. Owen’s voice sounded almost distant. This can’t be happening.
'…deep down, I don’t think you have what it takes.'
He freezes, looking back up at Owen with wide eyes.
'You tried to slay me,' Pyro adds.
He could feel the phantom acceleration of his heart-do vampires still have adrenaline?
'…You guys…'
Pyro continues, 'Tried to cut me up on that tree.'
They were still not over that?!
'You guys…You-you wouldn’t..'
Clearly, they would, considering how they both start to swipe at him. This is it, he thinks as his pleas for mercy bring no such change.
Wait.
His frantic search for escape settles on the opening Owen had left. Could he?…"Or; A What-If AU where Avid manages to escape the trap in Episode 7.

Scott raises an eyebrow, “I’d recommend watching your mouth. I'm not going to tolerate it next time, and I’m already giving you more freedom than you deserve, simply because I’m not a cruel man. You sneaked into my house, like a dirty little rat, and literally tried to kill me. How aren’t you one?”
“You kill people!”
Avid is rookie vigilante. Scott is a notorious supervillain. It goes as well as you'd expect.
