The fact that Jayce was completely compliant with the demands, didn’t surprise him in the least. Jayce was easily manipulated, as long as Viktor was the only one trying to manipulate him.
A hand took hold of Jayce’s wrist and tugged him toward the door, leading in the direction of the Academy dorms. Jayce interlaced his fingers with Viktor’s as the pair moved under the dim lights of the corridors.
Jayce was a clingy little bastard when he was tired. It always baffled Viktor a bit. He’d never seen the man so compliant anywhere else. But, in the lab, it took only a few harsh words and a handful of lingering touches to get him to agree with anything Viktor wanted.
He didn’t complain about it though. It made things much easier.
To be fair, it was Jayce’s fault that their relationship had escalated to this. If he had never touched Viktor, they wouldn’t have made it to this point. Perhaps they would have a normal relationship, a normal partnership.
But what fun would that be?

“You think of me so often, don’t you, Jayce?” Viktor’s imagined voice asked now, pulling Jayce back into the haze of his own obsession. “Tell me… what do you want?”
Jayce’s breath hitched, his heart pounding against his ribcage. He could almost hear the sly smile in the words, the unspoken challenge that Viktor so often carried in his tone.
“I want…” Jayce murmured aloud before catching himself, biting down hard on the word as though it might escape into the room and betray him.
The truth was that he wanted everything. The voice. The man. The way Viktor’s accent lingered on his name, transforming it into something intimate, like a secret only the two of them shared. Jayce couldn’t tell where his infatuation ended and his longing began, and he didn’t want to.
Not tonight.
Not when his hand moved so effortlessly down his torso, over the ridges of his abdomen, over the jut of his hip, fingers grazing the elastic waistband of his underwear.
