Summary
When Phil made the decision to go undercover in a terrorist organization for what was likely to be years, he knew he would have to do things he would never forgive himself for. If that's what it takes to make the world a safer place for people everywhere, for his children, then he would do it.
Then he meets the organization's weapon, The Blade: a trained assassin, a perfectly loyal tool, a killer that never blinks. And he's just an innocent boy. One that Phil can't save while keeping his cover.

Summary
After being deemed unfit to serve in the war due to the glitch known as ‘divergence’ Techno is sent back to his primary, Phil. As the days turn into months, Phil and his family try to convince Techno to accept his glitch and accept that he has gained human emotions.
He refuses to be seen as broken and so fights against anything Phil tries to do to “help him”. This leads Phil to making him try group therapy with other divergent androids. As Techno joins the glitchy group of metal he starts to uncover memories unknown to him about his time on the battlefield, feel things he refuses to put a name to and slowly come to the realization that a hunk of metal like him can love.
All because Phil, Tommy and Kristin refuse to believe he’s unworthy of a family.
Or: War android Techno gains consciousness and struggles through the motions of everything that comes with it.

Summary
“Oh, I’m sorry, sorry, mate-” Phil reaches his hands out, Techno kicking his legs out, trying to scoot away.
“No, no-” Techno chokes out, heart slamming into his ribs. He’s going to die, he’s going to die here, he should’ve known, Phil was never human, he was never human at all-
“I should’ve told you earlier.” Phil smiles, kneeling down to Techno’s level. He’s not reaching out anymore, but he’s not leaving either. “Sorry again for the scare. That was a bit much, huh?”
Techno blinks. “What?”
Or
Phil is not quite human, but he’s still very much a dad, with two children he loves very much.
Techno gets adopted into the family.
He was not informed of this.

Sequel to my work, "Waking Again"

Techno's always run. As quick as his legs took him, wherever the road led, always forward while only looking backwards. He is a bastard, planting graves on corpses everywhere he goes, never quick enough to catch up with the souls he takes.But he's not cruel. He still has love in his heart, despite everything he carries with him each passing moment. He has people he loves, people he hurt with his running. That was a mistake he'll never be able to take back, but it is one he can still apologise for. After all, his brothers are still here despite what happened. Despite who he is.
He needs to apologise to them. To show he's sorry, to show he never meant to hurt them. To say, loud and clear, that he doesn't take their unconditional love for granted. They deserve that, at least- and maybe that will finally quiet the voice in Techno's head that's so adamant about their imminent doom.
He will show them. He'll do what he was never allowed after that fated winter and atone. Maybe even earn the forgiveness he so desperately longs for.
