Summary

Summary
Vicente Salvatore, a former priest burdened by guilt, sets out in search of his younger brother Antonio, who vanished after a mysterious trip to the Forest of Nod—a foggy forest home to several disappearances. Haunted by the memory of their broken family and the festering weight of a fight Vicente can no longer fully recall, he drives toward the forest with nothing but desperation and fragmented faith. As he crosses deeper into the heart of Nod and meets a beautiful woman with golden eyes and a scar on her face, he begins to lose his grip on reality—hearing voices from a past he tries to deny and can't remember, visions of red-stained tiles, and uncovering clues that suggest Antonio may not be the first to be lured by something older and hungrier than grief. The woman Vicente meets knows more than she lets on, and the deeper he digs, the more he realizes that she is far more than she lets on.
