Killed by a Karen, Vyn is content with the life they lived, even if it was short. Deciding that the afterlife they want is just a nice long nap, that's what Vyn gets.
Until a bunch of King Deshret's extremist followers try to resurrect him and Vyn gets trapped in the "sacrifice's" body.
Really, they couldn't summon the right soul?Kaveh would like to say that this is in no way his fault.
He was just going out to meet a client and got jumped, kidnapped, drugged, and then used as an attempted sacrifice, only to survive and have his body momentarily hijacked by the soul pulled out of the afterlife.
But, hey, he's alive. Stuck with Vyn in his head, but alive nonetheless.

Aether and Lumine had a pretty normal life.
They went to school, hung out with their friends, were annoyed by their older brother, and almost died from constant freak accidents.
You know, the usual stuff.
Their older sibling Dainsleif made enough money that they didn't have to tap into the annoyingly large amount left by their deadbeat parents. Hell knows that the three would rather starve than say those assholes did anything for them.
It was always just the three of them. Dainsleif, Aether and Lumine. Together against the world.
And then, suddenly, it was just Aether.
Alone.
Lumine vanished on the way home from school.
Dainsleif didn't come back after leaving to look for her.
And when Aether tried to find them...
All he found was a large, odd-looking wolf.
It tried to kill him.
So Aether ran.
And ran.

Diluc wants to blame Kaeya. Wants to say that it's all Kaeya's fault that there are burn scars littering the Cryo User's chest. Diluc wants to say that if Kaeya had come to him on any other day, he wouldn't have reacted so badly. He wants to apologise to Kaeya, and wants to tell his brother how badly he messed up.
Diluc doesn't want Kaeya to accept it.
It's odd. Diluc loves his brother, Diluc cares about him, wants things to go back to how they used to. Wants to fight by Kaeya's side again, and wants to protect him as he did years ago.
But he doesn't want Kaeya to feel the same.
He wants Kaeya to glare at him, to tell him how it's all Diluc's fault. He wants Kaeya to be mad at him, to hate him because Diluc knows he doesn't. Diluc knows that whenever Kaeya is coming to Angel's Share, the look in his eyes is one of regret. One of self-loathing.
Kaeya blames himself, even though the fault lies with Diluc.
And Diluc hates that.
Hates how much of a failure of a brother he is.
Diluc hopes that maybe if Kaeya were to shift the blame from himself to Diluc, the Cryo User might seem genuinely happy again....
Kaeya wishes Diluc didn't hate him.
