Nicole wasn't stupid. She did that thing that every guy does, what was it again? Oh yeah, weaponized incompetence or some shit. She pretended like she didn't understand what was going on, that just meant she didn't have to care. People don't expect anything from her. She liked it that way.
She couldn't do that with the blonde. The one that haunted her dreams. The one that persistently stuck by her side even though she was such a fucking bitch. The one that stuck by her side even when she got shot in the leg by some crazed mall cop who threatened to blow her brains out. But hell, she could try.
