Celebrimbor's heart ached painfully, but he remained silent as Mairon continued his monologue, unsure of where this was going."I can grant your wish," a smile played on the maia's lips, "We can start from there."
____Celebrimbor's life is spared when the elf, during the atrocious tortures, reveals to Sauron the location of the rings.
But Mairon isn't satisfied with keeping his former lover locked in his rooms: he wants to return to the love they once had, and what better way to fix a relationship than a family and a gruesome experiment?

After Maeglin refused to tell Morgoth Gondolin's location, the elf is sent to Sauron's laboratory: there Melkor's lieutenant will be more than happy to give a new purpose to the captive elf's body.

"Do you know that when they're blind, their singing becomes even more beautiful?"Mairon had tilted his head, intrigued by that explanation. "But if their singing becomes even more beautiful when they're blind, why didn't Erü create them directly without eyes?"

Summary
This isn't how the end was supposed to happen: It was supposed to be quick and glorious, a swift and ultimate victory against the darkness that had plagued the world since its birth, not drawn out and bloody like a siege against an impenetrable fortress.
Now he's lost and alone, but that doesn't really feel all that different from how it's been his whole life. The difference now is that someone else is lost and alone with him.

Celebrimbor is terrified of this monster, of what Annatar has become, and yet he wants more. He keeps his eyes trained on the ground, afraid Annatar will be able to see the naked want there.
He is suddenly seized by the hair, pinpricks of pain sparking in his scalp. Annatar pulls his head back, forces him to make eye contact. Celebrimbor is frozen in place, fully exposed to Annatar’s searching gaze. Annatar laughs with a dark menacing edge. “Oh, little smith,” he says, “I will ruin you.”

Summary
When Dior Eluchíl refuses to give up the Silmaril and the remaining sons of Fëanor are forced to act, Amras offers to infiltrate Doriath and steal the Silmaril.
Unfortunately for him, he swiftly learns that Dior is not easily deceived and ends up being captured and kept as a hostage. While the Fëanorians are desperately trying to get him and the Silmaril back, Amras soon finds himself bonding with Dior's twin sons as well as his eerily charming captor, desperately craving the affection and closeness the Oath and Amrod's death have long taken from him; the very same Oath that may soon force his brothers to sacrifice him.

"Would it help,” Maedhros starts, his tone pensive and his fingers pressing more firmly against Maglor’s jaw. “Would it help if I did not forgive you as easily? If I punished you for what you did not, could not do?”
It takes a moment for Maglor to understand, Maedhros pushing images into his mind—of rope and chains and bruised skin, of pain and pleasure mingling without release.
It makes him shiver, the thrill quickly followed by shame hot enough that he wants to flinch from it.
Maglor is unable to let go of his guilt. Maedhros gets inventive about it.
