    Snickers rose from the class as she turned a bright red.

    Aizawa sighed. “Not exactly. The quirk is a weird mix between a truth quirk and a prone to suggestion quirk, thanks to the boy's parents. It means you’ll be under the effects of a normal truth quirk, but you also won’t have the ability to keep yourselves from oversharing.”

    “So we’ll all be spouting fucking word vomit like Deku?!”

    “Yes, Bakugou. Fucking word vomit.”

    Class 1-A is hit by a very powerful truth quirk, and lots of things come out. Some things are quite harmless - quite the opposite, really - others are quite funny, and some open wounds that never really healed.

    At fifteen, Bakugou was convinced he'd be the greatest hero in the world when he grew up.
    At thirty five, it's not quite the future that's happened.

    Bakugou has it pretty good: still a pro hero - though not ranked, a respected heroics teacher, and most days almost a decent person. He has a good job, good friends, and by all measures a pretty nice life, even though it's not what he wanted back in the day, what he thought he'd be living.
    And at the same time, he keeps wondering:

    Is this...it?

    It's not until a long-lost friend comes back into his life that Bakugou starts to wonder if he could maybe do better than just existing.

    Eijirou tilted his head to the side, confused. It was nine in the evening. “Not much, man. Finishing up some homework and going to bed. Why?”

    The red in Bakugou’s cheeks started to spread to his ears. He said something under his breath.

    “Sorry?”

    “I said come get dinner with me!” He yelled. “Unless you don’t want to. I don’t give a shit.”

    or: Eijirou is a gender non-conforming Omega who'd love to find a mate, but he's long understood that he isn't desirable the way he is. Katsuki is a slightly awkward Alpha who falls head over heels after their first wrestling match.

    After a traumatic coming-of-age summer adventure, once out going Katsuki Bakugou becomes riddled with anxiety and PTSD. He spends much of his childhood running off any friends, feverishly pursuing his goals of becoming the best small plane pilot Japan has ever seen.

    His adulthood is met stubbornly chasing his dreams of leaving the ground - and society - by moving to an isolated village far away from trains, people, and -worst of all- his overbearing parents. He certainly doesn't expect to find an idiot running the sorry excuse of a store in the small mountain village. Bakugou sure as shit doesn't expect to fall so hard for the half wit.
