Summary
Regulus Black realizes that his mission will be for naught if he dies before he can ensure the locket is destroyed and the Dark Lord is defeated. Faking his death, he runs to the Muggle world, living under a new name and identity as a Muggle-born novelist to search for a way to complete those two tasks, and...ends up just staying there.
Enjoying his new life a little too much, Regulus nearly forgets who he once was until he comes face to face with a crying baby left on a doorstep bearing an interesting scar. Unable to bring himself to end the young Horcrux's life, Regulus takes him in and raises him as his nephew, while hoping no one pays too much attention to the pair of "Muggle-borns."
