Summary
Aiden is always far too thin and miserable in the spring when they meet up again, so Lambert invites him up to Kaer Morhen for the winter. Good food, good company, a nice warm bed, and the option of very good sex - what's not to like?
Aiden left the caravan and its brutal alphas as soon as he could survive on his own. He is heartbroken when Lambert suggests he come to Kaer Morhen to be the alpha Wolves' newest toy - but he'd do anything for Lambert, even this.
...There's a miscommunication in there somewhere.

Summary
Jaskier doesn’t actually know how much time has passed since the black-cloaked Nilfgaardians grab him after a performance in a shitty tavern in the backcountry of northern Kaedwen. He’d assumed--foolishly, apparently--that he was far enough north that any Nilfgaardian soldiers would be few and far between, likely just scouts or even deserters. It would have been hard to actually get any further north--the little backwater town where he’d been singing was just a day from the mountains. Anymore travel, and he’d find himself skirting the Trail up to Kaer Morhen, the Warlord’s Keep, and, well. He’s brazen, but not that brazen.
(or: a wandering bard bites off more than he can chew with the political ballads, accidentally makes friends with a princess in exile, and finds the Warlord of the North in his debt.)

Summary
It’s hard, at times, to keep playing at ignorance when the intrepid little moron dumps out the entire bundle of his sleek, downy-soft pelt in search of a new quill, but if he isn’t going to bring it up, Geralt’s certainly not going to pry, even though he does have to prompt the bard surreptitiously more than a few times when the flighty little pest evidently forgets all about his pelt and moves to happily trot along on his way, his freedom left behind in the dust. It’s a fine line Geralt walks, playing dumb while hyper-aware of the situation, but he manages to hold his peace and remain silent even when he wants to scold the selkie to be fucking careful. The bard babbles along at length throughout the day enough without prompting; gods forfend Geralt give him any sign of encouragement for more.
Still, despite Geralt’s best efforts, he finds that the selkie–who has chosen Jaskier as his name of all things–is growing on him.
It is, in a few words, fucking obnoxious.
(Jaskier is a selkie who is absolutely HORRIFIC at keeping up with his pelt) (lucky, then, that he has a witcher to do it for him)

Summary
Lambert will admit that it is, perhaps, a stupid plan. Then again, most of his life has revolved around stupid plans, and he’s still alive. And honestly, at this point, he’s willing to do almost anything that A) wipes that awful sad stench from the bard and B) annoys the hell out of Geralt, so being able to do both at once seems like a great bargain.
Besides, it's not exactly a hardship to cuddle Jaskier.
