Summary
When Tommy returns to Small Heath after the Great War, Charlie Whizz-Bang kills an Italian in the streets of Nechells Green and unintentionally starts a gang war. Tommy has to take care of it and stumbles across something in the process — a ghost from the past he thought dead.
Or: What if Greta Jurossi hadn’t died from consumption and her father weren’t just an ordinary man who sells Gelato in Little Italy?
–––
“You were dead.”
“No, Tommy. I was about to die. Then you went to war — and I got better.”

Genuinely fascinating to see where this would have gone.

Charles Shelby, age seven and a half, knows his father just tried to commit suicide. Thomas Shelby, age somewhere in the vicinity of forty, knows his son knows.
Mutual self-deception can be a momentarily comforting thing.

Could also be titled 'What is the point of a Peaky Blinders film if Ada isn't a politician?'
This was written in response to the muddy Tommy on horseback pictures from the set of the Peaky Film. I was inspired....
I hope you'll ?!enjoy?! stressed, shellshocked, injured Tommy being taken care of by his sister... There's also a horse. Horse makes everything a bit better. Right? Also TW: blood, broken bones; he has a not so pretty injury in this.
