Summary
Lu Ten spent many years under Lake Laogai before a masked spirit with dual dao broke him out. He's had a long time to think over every detail of his capture - and he knows exactly who betrayed his location to the Earth Kingdom special force. The mocking letter he received, three days later in prison, only confirmed the fact.
Ozai.
Lu Ten's father doesn't understand that Zuko isn't a good person. How can he be, when he's Ozai's son? Well, if Iroh isn't going to punish Zuko, Lu Ten will take matters into his own hands.
The night after Zuko runs away, Iroh finds a robe in his nephew's trunk. He recognizes it as one of Zuko's favorites and pulls it out, frowning. Then he sees the sleeve, charred and burnt.
There are only three firebenders in Ba Sing Se.
Iroh will need to have a discussion with his son.

Zuko had never been enough.
All his life Zuko had been alone. Drifting, in a lonely universe trying to make a path for himself. If only he was stronger, if only he had worked harder, if only he could do something right in his life. Maybe he wouldn’t be in this situation, maybe he’d know what it’s like be wanted.
No matter what he did. No matter what path he chose. It would never be good enough. He’d never be good enough.

Death, unfortunately, comes in threes. When it happens too fast, it weighs a lot heavier on the heart. Zuko is young though. He’ll bounce back. Not now, eventually though. At the moment, it just hurt a hell of a lot.

Summary
Now, Sokka could clearly see Zuko’s face, and he was amazed to see how much the boy had really changed. The ultimate proof of his transformation was in his eyes, finally free from their usual fierce rage... and more beautiful than ever. Those gold eyes had haunted Sokka since the very beginning, since the day Zuko almost burned down their village. He had tried his best to supress his feelings, but now that Zuko became a different person, they came back stronger than ever. At the worst possible moment.
...When Sokka gets attacked by Combustion Man, he is unexpectedly saved by Zuko. The two of them manage to take the attacker down together, but Zuko gets badly injured in the process. As Zuko’s time is running out, the two of them finally share their previously repressed feelings for one another.
