Alastor doesn't respond. It's certain to be a trap—though whether the snare would be in answering or in remaining silent, it's impossible to tell. Lilith's moods are as flighty as her fancies, and he's long since resigned himself to the futility of trying to keep up.
So he says nothing, only keeps his eyes closed and forces himself not to react to the fingers that are combing through his hair with mock affection, lingering at the base of his ears and sliding down to scratch lightly at the nape of his neck. His cheek is pressed against the plush swell of her thighs where she sits, cradling him against her legs indulgently like a treasured pet.
Well, it's half true; the collar around his neck attests to that.

Summary
Over the years since his death Alastor had opted for endless maneuvers and ruses to divert unwanted attention with varying degrees of success. His most recent trick? Tell Vox that he is dating Lucifer and Lucifer that he is dating Vox. At best they would both move on (doubtful given previous experience with Vox, but even in hell hope was the last thing lost) and at worst they thought he was cheating on them (possibly destroying his semi-peaceful relationship with Lucifer and would put Charlie in a bad mood).
Alastor never considered that they would assume he was a polycule.

Summary
When Vox finally manages to capture the Radio Demon, he expects drama, threats, and maybe a monologue about “the good old days.”
What he doesn’t expect is for Alastor to be running a fever high enough to fry circuitry.
Too stubborn to admit he’s sick and too proud to accept help, Alastor becomes Vox’s unexpected responsibility, snark, brattiness, coughing fits and all.
Vox wanted victory. Instead, he gets a miserable, feverish rival wrapped in a blanket and refusing to take his medicine.
This is not how the broadcast was supposed to go...or captured Alastor gets sick, Vox tries to help but Alastor is still a brat
