However, the doctor had other plans and immediately starts attacking Central City. As the attacks increase daily, Sonic has been mentally & physically drained from the effort of fighting off Eggman alone. Alone because Shadow has been missing since Sonic was on the Death Egg and Rouge refuses to tell Sonic. However, after a near suicidal attempt, Shadow appears in front of Sonic and Shadow's feelings change.
After Sonic seeks help from G.U.N and discovers his Phantom Rider suit and Extreme Gear again, he decides to disguise himself as Phantom Rider during fights until his 'injuries' are fixed. However, his friends become suspicious, especially Shadow. Will Sonic be able to keep up his secret identity while G.U.N helps him solve issues or will a certain someone discover who he is and confront him?
