Summary
Max is the youngest driver to ever compete in F1. But also the first ever to be an Omega on the grid (At least, of the open ones. Some could've been taking blockers like him). He had it drilled into him by his father that he was a disgrace for his secondary gender, and he must hide it from everyone to not bring shame to the Verstappen name. He was told many times that all the alphas on the grid would swarm him if he ever came off those blockers. And that was what he believed would happen.
So, why the fuck is he so confused now?

Summary
There’s a weird moment then, where Max does put the jacket on, and then kind of just– deflates into it. Realistically, Daniel isn’t that much larger than him, but he likes his clothing a bit oversized, and it settles nicely around Max. They look at each other, and Max’s eyes go a bit half-lidded with what looks like contentment. Daniel tells himself he must just be finally warm, and ignores the matching feeling in his own chest.
Daniel never does get his jacket back. He doesn’t mind for some reason.
(Or: Daniel tries to court Max by accident, stops himself because Max is a beta and doesn't even know what he wants, and then finds out neither of those things are true. Well. Second chances, right?)

Summary
On the eve of the Trial of Seven at Ashford, Ser Duncan the Tall and Lord Lyonel share one stolen, tender night. The trial leaves blood on the ground and grief in Duncan’s heart. When Lyonel, shaken and newly aware of how easily he might lose him, begs Duncan to come to Storm’s End, Duncan refuses. Loss weighs too heavily, and pride keeps him moving. A hedge knight does not cling to a lord’s hall, no matter how fiercely he is loved.
So Duncan rides on.
But months along the Kingsroad to Dorne, something is not right. The smell of ale turns his stomach. Campfire stew makes him pale. What he first dismisses as illness begins to whisper another truth, one that ties him to Storm’s End more surely than any vow.

Summary
Raging seas held less chaos than what swelled in his lungs and stomach, threatening to drown him in the taste of copper. He took a breath and readied his sword with a roll of his shoulder, pain joining in as the joints pop and grind back into place.
If he was going to die for this man he wasn't about to do it laying down.

A Stark heads South to meet his future husband and his end. Instead, he meets a giant and a stag.

Summary
"Hold the favor of an omega and you hold the favor of the gods.
He's heard the tales sung to pups in their beds by mothers and milkmaids.
"Omegas are the realms delights rare and valued beyond compare. Beings born to only the highest of royalty and greatest high-born houses."
They aren't born to the smallfolk and they certaintly aren't from the filthy squalor of fleabottom.
So Dunk never paid much mind to them.
Ser Arlan used to sing stories about them on the long stretchs of road.
Said they were "Star-fallen blessings to the realm."
Even claims he saw one.
They are fair and beautiful and dainty everything Dunk isn't.
But Ser Arlan's gone now and the winds are changing.
And with them they carry a scent as sweet as summer and the singers sing of a new star falling from the sky.
An gift from the gods, a sign of good fortune.
Dunk sees it as an omen that his path of knighthood is clear.Aerion sees the star aswell.
And someone new has just caught his eye, someone with a scent like gold, someone he intends to seek out.
No matter what.
