Cole wanted to defend himself. He wasn't that good. He had his bad-boy, rebel moments. But just the thought caused him to keep his mouth permanently shut.
If he ever said any of those thoughts out loud, Kai wouldn't let him live it down.
Lloyd recited the phrase one more time. It seemed like a daily thought, a type of reassurance.
