Summary
The baby unlatches with a soft little sound and goes limp, milk-drunk and warm.
Jon is sitting on the recliner.
“Can you pass her to me?” He whispers. “So you can rest.”
Sansa doesn’t even think about the fact that her shirt is pushed up and her bra is unclipped. Modesty has become a joke three weeks into unexpected motherhood. She shifts carefully and hands the baby over. Jon takes her gently and holds her against his chest. He kisses her head.
The sight of Jon with their daughter is comforting and one of her favorite things. It’s also a problem.
Because soon he’ll have to go back to Castle Black and this little world they’ve built where they’re parents who sleep in the same room for the baby’s sake and cry together when she does something cute, will disappear. Soon their lives will turn into trains and custody plans and calendars and silence and Sansa doesn’t know how they’ll survive that.

She can’t stop herself from kissing the small birthmark on Jon's clavicle. The gesture makes him moan, low and warm, the sound vibrating against her chest where they’re pressed together.
There are a million things she should be worrying about. The calls that won’t stop. What she’s supposed to do next. The unopened letters on her desk.
But none of it matters.
There is only the feel of him, one hand firm on her hip, guiding her rhythm; the other tangled in her hair, pulling her closer. His breath is hot against her neck, their skin slick and sticking in the heat.
Sansa wonders if the thrill for him comes from knowing it will end.
It doesn’t for her.
