Mike looks up at him with a smirk on his face. "Does NYU Law work?"
It's not illegal, what they're doing, which makes sense, because he doesn't exactly expect one of New York City's best lawyers to stick his entire career on the line for a man he didn't know existed all of fifteen minutes prior, but it's still exhilarating. Mike's got nothing to lose. Harvey doesn't know what luck he's down on, or the helping hand he's just extended to a veteran who hasn't held a stable job in five years.

Summary
Maverick should be paying attention to lecture, he knows this, but he can't seem to stop staring at Ice chewing on his pen cap. It shouldn't be as distracting as it was, but it is and Maverick can't help but wonder what those lips feel like.
Or-Maverick seems to notice Ice has a slight oral fixation and it takes a pen and other things to realize he might be a little bit more preoccupied with Ice than he originally thought.

Summary
Hitting the tarmac atop that aircraft carrier, Lieutenant Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw takes the most rewarding breath of relief. It tasted sweeter than the sound of cheering surrounding the broken down, bag of ass F-14 they escaped with. But not as sweet as Maverick's arms around him, hugging him tightly like he used to do all those years ago.
But things turn sickeningly sour when Maverick collapses in his arms, injured and bleeding. Rushed into the clinic, Rooster's left to wait in bitter guilt that it's cause of him Maverick is hurt, even if the others are too kind to point it out. All the years spent rebuffing the Captain, letting his anger stew against the man who's now fighting for his life, he'd give anything to make up for it. Anything.
So, hiding the sharp stitch in his side is the least Rooster can do, right?
