No serious hockey fan or sports commentator worth their salt would have considered record-breaking Boston superstar Ilya Rozanov to be Shane Hollander’s rival exactly, but sleeping with a man who had a specific offense-related vendetta against him and a wrist shot like a jet engine to back it up was probably ill-advised just the same.

At least, that was the picture he painted. Underneath, he was far more of a threat than anyone knew. Trained since he could walk to handle a gun and launch a knife at blinding speed, sweet Canadian boy Shane Hollander was the secret weapon for his family’s empire.
Russia was his ticket. Once Shane proved himself in this godforsaken tundra, he would begin shouldering more responsibilities. He would become the heir his mother dreamed of.
His mission was actually quite simple. He had to bring back an item to his mother. A necklace.

Ilya knew his husband was beautiful, ethereal, a mystic being who probably appeared once in a century to tempt weak mortal men like him. People may call him whipped or lovesick, and they would be right, but it wasn't without reason; after all, it's not paranoia if they're really out to get you.
And Ilya never backed down from a fight, even if the fight involved half of the internet.
