Sherlock finally spoke, unable to ignore William's gaze lingering on him since they'd sat down.
Sherlock had known William long enough to see the pattern. The former professor was far too fond of meddling with the little details of his life, his meals, his sleeping hours, always with that quiet patience that made it impossible to refuse.
William didn't bother to deny it. He just let the corner of his lips curl into the faintest smile. The kind of smile that made Sherlock restless, because it meant only one thing.
"Because I am," William said calmly, setting his spoon down on the porcelain plate. "I already have plans for today."
"That sounds annoying."

The sentence trailed off, too awkward to finish. He quickly busied himself with the cluttered tools on the table instead.
William raised an eyebrow, the faintest smile tugging at his lips. He wasn't about to let Sherlock escape so easily.
"Like what, Sherly?" he asked softly, voice carrying a teasing lilt.
"…Doesn't matter." Sherlock muttered, quieter than usual, as if embarrassment itself had stolen his voice.
