Summary
A collection of short fics and fragments. Each chapter's labeled with word count & level of completeness: finished short pieces, ficlets that never got developed further, loose scenes that didn't end up fitting into other fics, stalled WIPs.
I'm furious the DBD characters were cut from Sandman s2. So my dumb revenge is to share everything I've written for this fandom on AO3. All the shorter stuff will be collected in this post. Nothing hits the cutting room floor.

Summary
Crowding him up against the wall, Charles keeps a nice tight hold of his jacket. Edwin's hands wrap around Charles', playing at trying to free himself but actually holding on, keeping them there.
"You're not going anywhere." Charles makes the next kiss hard and demanding, and it does the trick. Charles can feel it, like springing a lock, that magic moment when they get Edwin through the obstacle course in his head, built up of all the conditioning the Edwardian era was able to pack into his short life and all the long years of repression after.
"What the fuck," says Crystal.

Summary
"I would be remiss if I did not explain further why I encouraged you to go with Death earlier," his new friend says.
"Yeah?" Charles fits a smile on his face and nods at the ghost. His fellow ghost, now. Edwin. He tried to get Charles to push off, and that has Charles a little nervous. But before that, Edwin said he wished they could be friends for longer, and he stayed with Charles all night, so he must like him at least a little. Charles can work with that. Everyone likes him eventually.
Everyone gets sick of him eventually as well, but before that, he can usually stretch things out a while.

"Depends," says Crystal. "Can I prevail upon you to read over the final draft of my paper and give feedback without getting snippy about it?"
"I do not," says Edwin in the snippiest possible voice, he has to be kidding, "get snippy."

Summary
The boys urge Crystal and Niko to wait outside. Charles brings out the bat, Edwin readies his spellbook; Charles stretches his free hand back without looking and Edwin takes it immediately, following him inside.
"What kind of Hansel and Gretel shit, honestly," Crystal mutters.
"Hm?" Niko asks.
She doesn't know how to explain that she was backsliding into Old Crystal thoughts. "Uh, if we go around to the side maybe we can look in the windows and keep track of what's going on."
"Oh, good idea!"

Summary
The first thing Charles ever notices about Edwin is that his voice is far too posh to sound as kind as it does. The second is that Edwin has pretty eyes and a face that was made to be painted.

He knows that Edwin believes him because at that exact moment, the band they're here to see comes on and someone throws glitter all over the crowd, and Edwin sighs long-sufferingly without even attempting to restrain himself. Charles presses his face into Edwin's collarbone and laughs hard enough for his body to shake.

Summary
When Charles says, "It's stupid, but I think I'd miss kissing. Do you miss kissing?", what he actually meant to say was “You’re incredibly pretty and I hope you miss kissing so I can try to fix that for you right now, pretty please.”
Or, Charles has wanted to kiss Edwin since the moment they met. It’s so unfortunate that Edwin is not interested.

Summary
Edwin really didn't understand why Charles and Crystal were so distraught. He needed the bones for an elixir he was making. They all saw worse than a 100 year old skeleton on a weekly basis so why was this the straw that broke the camel's back?
The fact that it's his skeleton shouldn't matter.

“What are you doing?” Edwin demanded. “Crystal and Charles are in danger!”
The Cat King titled his head. “So are you. You can’t just go running off into the woods like that. That disgusting little growth could be on any branch or rock or ugh, tree.”
“Exactly!” Edwin said, putting as much heat into his words as he could muster. “Which is exactly why I need to go and warn Charles and Crystal about Monty’s betrayal and Esther’s trap.”
“Not happening,” the Cat King said. He used one finger, the end of it almost looking more like a cat’s claw than a nail, to point at his wrist. “As long as that bracelet is on, you fall into my domain. And I’m not letting something of mine be taken by Esther.”

Aka the Cat King takes Edwin away during the forest scene to protect him from Esther's trap, leading Charles and Crystal to believe he died.
