Summary
Okay this is my first fanfiction and this is very unfinished so I have no idea what should I write here... But:
In 1990 10-year-old Hermione experiences abuse and living nightmares. Once again she's in trouble but this time she gets help. A certain teenager manages to get Hermione to believe in her own future. This teenager (yes she's Bella) decides to look after the little girl, but soon after the girl gets transferred out of town to new foster parents.
Years later, in 2000, they meet again.

He chooses the newly retired unspeakable. Hermione quickly makes a fool of herself and garnishes the sudden attention of a new professor replacing her previous favorite. Classroom flirting and fireside chats lead to Hermione getting a rather interesting little black box one morning at breakfast. But what could be inside of it?

Summary
Hermione does usually like being an Unspeakable, it's a good fit for her, cerebral with a bit of adventure thrown in the mix. Usually. Except some days she's handed boxes upon boxes of unearthed Death Eater trinkets on a Friday and told to sort through them all by Monday with all the proper diagnostic spells to determine what's a dark object and what's just junk after an already unforgiving week. Tired and worked to the brink, Hermione decides to bring home all the boxes so she can at least have a decent meal and a shower and work in comfort. It isn't technically against the rules after all. Except in her sleep deprived state she forgets the number one rule of dealing with potentially dark objects: wearing your magical protective equipment. There's no way that can back fire, right?
