This fic will make more sense if you read the first two oneshots in the series first. Lots of worldbuilding in those.
However, story to date: Shouta Aizawa and Hizashi Yamada have been married since shortly after their graduation from UA over 200yrs ago. They've been adventurers under the name Yamazawa Duo for most of that time, only having settled down after adopting Hitoshi and having a random woman give them Izuku.
Humans get their magic at 4, supernaturals get it at 15. Hitoshi and Izuku turn 15 and learn some startling things about their abilities. Their parents take them to the Magic Market and buy them familiar eggs. Familiars reflect one's soul in form and personality regardless of the familiar who spawned the egg. Hitoshi ends up with a voluble and very friendly kitten and Izuku ends up with a very blunt divine rabbit. They're in different classes in middle school. Denki is Hitoshi's best friend and Katsuki is Izuku's. Hitoshi has no trouble with his class after returning to school once he gets a basic hold on his power. Izuku, however, experiences some bullying which results in some trouble.Series
