Freedom is a difficult concept for Trafalgar D. Water Law to define.
Once, someone had told him he was free—that he no longer had to live under anyone else's influence. And yet, he had never felt that way.
Least of all when his world had shrunk to four walls, sealed off from everything else.(In a universe where Trafalgar Law allows himself to be more transparent about his future plans, his bond with Monkey D. Luffy grows stronger much earlier than anyone would have expected.)

Time is abstract: a manifestation of the control we believe we have over ourselves, just like the beliefs and preferences rooted so deeply into our skin.The pirate alliance managed to defeat Blackbeard. Law got his crew back. But that doesn’t mean that part of his life has been closed.
Because if it were, the remnants of that cursed crew wouldn’t still be messing with his life all over again.Or: where Law is turned into a woman once more.

Summary
The battle with Blackbeard leaves Law, once again, with nothing to hold onto—only Bepo, his best friend, still by his side. His wounds heal, or at least as much as limited resources allow, and soon he must rise again, rebuild what was lost, because there’s no other choice.
But fate isn’t done with him yet. And neither are the Straw Hats.
(Or: Law seizes the first phantom of peace he finds, clings to it as the world claws at him from all sides. This time, he’s not going to let anything ruin it.)
