He grunted, attempting to tackle the creature. “I’ll kill you—”
Before he could even try to push himself off the ground, a sharp, cold pressure jabbed against his lips. With a click of his gasmask falling, the barrel of a gun was suddenly shoved into his mouth, silencing any further words of defiance.
He yelped, the metallic taste of the weapon seeping into his senses, the shock of it making his whole body seize up. “Ow—What the—!” His words were muffled by the gun, his lips vibrating with the futile attempt to protest. His mind raced, confused and disoriented. This wasn’t how it was supposed to go. He was supposed to be the one in control.
The sianach didn’t waste any time. Its massive jaws opened wide, and with a speed that caught Exorspace completely off-guard, it sank its sharp teeth into his shoulder. A searing, painful pressure erupted from the wound as its fangs punctured deep into his flesh. Exorspace’s body stiffened, his teeth gritting against the gun in his mouth, but the pain was overwhelming. He couldn’t even scream.
