When Will Graham woke up this morning, something in the back of his tangled web of thoughts spoke with alarming clarity; The backdrop is set. Something extraordinary is coming.
The first time he built a tableau, out of poor Freddie Lounds no less, he prayed that the Ripper would see him. He must have. The idea thrills him, gives Will a sense of wanting he hasn’t felt since the first time he saw a Ripper scene.
Suddenly the universe’s message is well–received. He knows this face. He knows those eyes.
And, evidently, those eyes know his too.

Summary
Will drags his thumb up the edge of the knife’s handle. It would be so easy. One quick swipe and the blade would be buried in Hannibal’s abdomen, then all Will would have to do is tear him open to bleed in this little Italian street.
The locals would scream. Hannibal wouldn’t. He probably wouldn’t even make a sound. There would be no words between them as he lay dying at Will’s feet—they would have only eyes for each other until Hannibal’s closed and never opened again.
Maybe Will would go to prison, and maybe he wouldn’t. Jack would praise him. No one would blame Will, except for Will.
What will Will Graham become now?
What will he be?
He will be alone. That’s the devastating, inevitable truth. Once Hannibal Lecter is gone, no more than a bloodstain on the concrete, Will Graham will be alone.
_________________Will brought the knife to end Hannibal's life in Florence. Instead, he reaches out and takes his hand.

And Peter might be sad and hopeless and should probably tattoo nevergonnahappen over his heart, or better on his ass, as a conversation starter, since it’s all the action he's been and will continue getting from older guys he meets on Grindr about once a quarter. But he isn't impolite or ungrateful for everything Tony’s done or at least tried and offered to do for him after May died, when Peter fucked it up so very bad, with Tony having to unfuck it.
So Peter nudges him aside—drunk or not—and jiggles the key in the stiff lock with a weak "Hey," really wishing for a stiff drink himself if only it worked on him.
Tony's been dodging Peter for months, only to crash his photography exhibition without a warning and ruin everything. Because—reasons.
