Summary
After the explosion in his apartment, Jayce is banished to Zaun, where he becomes a mechanic. When he meets Viktor, the apothecary across the street from his shop, he's enchanted by him, though as a newcomer in the Undercity, he tries to keep his distance. That is, until he unexpectedly finds himself caring for Powder, a child who has who recently lost her only family in a conflict caused by Jayce's very own hexcrystals. But he can't do it alone.
Luckily, there's a healer across the street from him who can help him navigate his newfound home and family. And if Jayce is head over heels for this mysterious healer? Well, that's nobody's business but his own.

I couldn’t just leave her in an undercity orphanage where she’d likely be drafted to the mines or in a Piltover children’s home where no one would adopt an undercity kid with a criminal record. I had to do something! Besides it seems she wishes to be quite the scientist herself, how could I abandon her to the abuses of the system? She reminds me of myself, in that way….'
'I guess we have a kid now. We’ll have to get a new apartment.' Jayce said, and oh how Viktor looked at him like he’d hung the stars."
