Odin’s new witch isn’t anything like Gottfried. He’s young, for one. A lot younger than Thor expects. He has a narrow pointy face, which Gottfried also had, as well as a similar lean, lanky frame. Typical of all the witches Thor’s seen, which, to be fair, has only been a handful.
Gottfried had lived amongst menfolk for so long, one would almost forget he was a witch.
Loki's not like that.

When Loki began his quest to find a dragon to ensorcell to his will, he hadn’t imagined encountering one like Thor. Instead of char-broiling and eating Loki, the dragon takes him in, bandages his wounds, and gives him a house tour. Then the two are dining on flame-seared filet mignon and it is increasingly apparent that this is a date.

In a quick effort to make Loki docile, the Tony Stark releases an experimental drug that only effects Asgardians. It gets Thor too, but hey, he had no choice. It works a little too well. Loki goes from trying to destroy the world to braiding Thor's hair as well as other things. Steve helpfully sticks around and clutches his pearls while Tony waits for the drug to wear off.

It’s been nearly three weeks since Thor began wandering through the heart of Western Jotun territory, making his way on foot through the ancient forest blanketing the mountains— a place of heavy mists and changeable weather. Jotnar villages nestle here and there, the massive trees giving way to small but lively settlements.
Thor sets his traps along the paths used by the creatures of the forest, near the rivers and streams and berry thickets that draw them in numbers. He's still several days out from camp when his keen hearing picks up the sounds of an animal in distress.
It isn’t a call familiar to him.

Instead of being fired, however, Loki finds that Thor has other plans with him - forbidden plans that could get them both into a lot of trouble - and he realizes that he is all here for whatever Thor wants to do with him.
