Summary
Dazai Osamu couldn’t be better. The agency was finally finding its footing after recent events. Even if recent cases are mundane cases—one would normally expect a detective to get,—it’s still fine. Healthy.
It’s nice to have tranquility after so many years of constant running around and bloodshed…or it should be. But why doesn’t it feel that way?
Or, Dazai doesn’t know how to handle normalcy nor his own mental and physical health. And because of this he pushes himself almost beyond repair.

Gotham is dangerous, he learns that early on. And he keeps running into the local vigilantes no matter how hard he tries to disappear.
His first real comfort in this new world is the old ratty comic he finds, an appealing story about “The Amazing Spider-Man”. He rather likes the name Peter.

An orange cat floating in front of his window. Now that he thinks about it, the cat may have had blue eyes too. Yep… this is Chuuya, no doubt about it. Dazai sighs loudly and opens his curtains again.
“What are you doing here, Chuuya?” he flatly says as he finally opens his window.
Nakahara Chuuya gets turned into a cat and turns towards the only person he thinks can turn him back: his former partner, ability-nullifier, Dazai Osamu.
Or: Dazai nullifies abilities, not witchcraft. Chuuya learns it the hard way when he has to stay at Dazai's place in the form of a cat.
