Arthur should have been completely alert, focusing on potential dangers, he found his attention kept getting drawn to Merlin, checking to see if he was alright, wondering if he was still cold, drinking in the sight of him bundled up in Arthurs cloak… He grew annoyed that his awareness was clouded.
“Are you doing better?” He muttered to Merlin, who rode alongside the King, dutiful as always. Merlin seemed to be more attentive to their surroundings than Arthur was.
“What? Oh yes thank you…”
“It’s all your own fault really. I did tell you to dress warmer, and you should have known better.”
Merlin glared at him. “You think I wouldn’t have if I had the option?”

Summary
Merlin enjoyed working as an IT expert for Camelot, England's official non-official spy agency. He got paid to work with his best friend and create gadgets for real, live spies. What he hated though - field operatives. Well, perhaps just one in particular.
Arthur Pendragon was cocky, arrogant, frustrating and too damn gorgeous for his own good. (Not that Merlin noticed the handsome agent or fantasized about his stupid pouty mouth).
So when Merlin ends up on a field mission gone horribly wrong, of course it’s Arthur who comes to his rescue. Stuck in a life or death clusterfuck with his work nemesis was not doing anything to squash his ever growing inappropriate crush - or his rapidly deteriorating will power.
James Bond never had it this hard… surely.

A story about two friends, who after losing their hope, their innocence and their way, finally find each other again.
