Summary
Princess Sally Acorn is getting married! To celebrate the momentous occasion, all of Acorn's most famous former residents are headed home, including Amy Rose, Tails the Fox, Rouge the Bat, and Sonic the Hedgehog. Except Sonic is also bringing a date: his new boyfriend, Shadow the Hedgehog, who didn't know anything at all about the Kingdom of Acorn until last week.
Here in Sonic's former homeland, Shadow is forced to navigate countless trials, including introducing himself to his partner's parents, trying to make sense of Acorn's history, being framed for murder, relationship drama, attending his partner's ex's wedding, the ethics of robot hedgehogs (store-bought or homemade), having his mind partially consumed by some sort of eldritch horror no one else seems worried about, dinner parties, and more!
[This is a slightly crack AU premise where most of Archie lore is canon, except for Shadow, who has only experienced what has happened in the games. No prior knowledge of Archie is required, because Shadow hasn't read the comics either.]

Summary
“It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single hedgehog in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a spouse.”
Such is the advice given by Aleena the Hedgehog to her eldest son, Sonic. Sonic, however, being a single hedgehog in possession of a very terrible fortune and even more terrible set of new responsibilities, doesn’t have time to find a spouse at all. Following the sudden death of their father, Sonic finds himself the new patriarch of the Hedgehog family, and has to salvage his family's reputation. To make matters worse, the terrifying Dr. Eggman is presenting a greater and greater threat to the kingdom as a whole, and Sonic is beginning to fear that no one besides him stands a chance against his forces. He doesn’t have time to visit the new tenants of Netherfield Park, not the mysterious and noble Blaze the Cat, the flirty and intimidating Rouge the Bat, and especially not the haughty and unpleasant Shadow Robotnik.
A Sonic the Hedgehog Pride and Prejudice AU. That sure is a sentence I just typed.

During an otherwise normal sparring match, Shadow maybe somewhat accidentally exacerbates a minor dental emergency being experienced by one Sonic the Hedgehog, and somehow finds himself roped into making sure the blue idiot actually gets treatment and properly recovers from it.
After all, what's a little insurance fraud between rivals?

During a massive badnik raid, all hands are on deck to stop Eggman.
All the while, Sonic witnesses Amy battling through her own challenge. He goes down memory-lane, admiring all the past hurdles they've won to make to where they are today. He might not have been a perfect kid, but he'll be damned if his kids don't end up with the coolest dad in the world. If he can just stop Eggman in time to see them born.
Or,
During a robot raid, Amy goes into labor, and Sonic's thoughts are a whirlwind of emotions.
