When Shane lets himself think about what it might be like at All Stars, there's a blurry gap where he's standing. Ilya will be wearing something stylish and sexy — probably a shiny shirt that makes Shane want to grab him and never let go. There's nothing Shane owns that fits in that category.
But Reebok and Rolex have both had him work with stylists for appearances in the past. He pulls up the photos of those events, and flips through the photos. He sends them to Rose.

Shane Hollander having a no good very bad day, being neurotic about it and reinventing cnc out of his own beautiful mind. The approach to his ED was really convincing.
“Ordinarily this would’ve made Shane melt into a puddle. He had no idea why it wasn’t moving him now. It was a little frightening. If hockey couldn’t make him happy, and Rozanov couldn’t make him calm, then what was left?”
“He noticed a tension headache settling in at the nape of his neck. No, he corrected himself. More likely, he’d just stopped noticing it for a little while. It never went away.”

Summary
Ankle sprain at fifteen, broken ribs and another lost tooth at sixteen. At seventeen, a hairline clavicle fracture that almost cost him his spot at Juniors. Shane's a good patient. Quiet, says please and thank you to the nurses, always does his physio. Never, ever complains.
And then he gets his first concussion.

Summary
Scott Hunter is just trying to make the most of his closeted NHL career, keep his head down, wait until he retires before he tries find his person.
He doesn't want to know anything at all about these two dumb rookies and what they're getting up to behind the facade of their so-called rivalry... but they're making it really hard for him to ignore them.
Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov are not Scott's problem. That's all there is to it.
