The memories from past adventures have accumulated, scaring not only his body but his mind. He slowly starts deteriorating, will he ask for help? Or will he suffer alone?

Summary
Before Shadow realizes what's happened, an arm is swung around his shoulder, and to his right, the topic of conversation stands, and Shadow turns to growl at the imposing hedgehog. But before he can insult said hedgehog, he looks at what the Mobian is wearing, and his mouth immediately goes dry as he takes him in. While Sonic makes small talk with Rouge (unfortunately removing his arm to do so), Shadow gapes at him. You could even say he’s textbook agog. Sonic the Hedgehog is in a suit.

Sonic had a problem. His genius plan to annoy Shadow had backfired entirely, well, for the most part. Shadow was definitely annoyed right now, but this anger wasn’t aimed just at Sonic. That's because they were stuck at a dead stop in the worst traffic Sonic had ever seen. Well, he hadn’t actually been stuck in traffic before, given that he was the fastest creature in the universe. He could count how many times he’d needed to drive on one hand. But today, he found himself in a car.

It’d been a month or so since…everything happened—and Sonic’s nightmares had shown no sign of granting him mercy. Sometimes he would jerk awake in the middle of the night in a cold sweat, gasping for breath; other times, his eyes would snap open and he would be gripping his blankets with trembling hands, as if his body wanted to reach out and save Shadow.
Today, he woke up feeling completely numb all over, his muzzle drenched from fresh tears. The morning sun was just barely rising over the horizon, streaks of light peeking through the circular window on the ceiling and bathing the floorboards of the attic in warm orange.
How cruel was it that mornings were so beautiful when Shadow couldn’t be here to see it?
OR: Shadow isn’t dead. Sonic just doesn’t realize it until he catches Shadow on the Wachowski’s security camera, sneaking into the house night after night.
