Summary
Basically an au where Mista dies in the sleeping slaves arc and saves everyone else from dying. The timeline is a little messed up, with Giorno and Bruno meeting before the sleeping slaves arc, so Giorno is able to save Mista from death when he sacrifices himself to rolling stone. In this au, the florist's daughter actually killed herself to save her father from a painful death, and rewrites his fate. So Mista does the same thing for Bruno.
Basically just me making an excuse to write a story about Mista's living corpse rotting over the span of a couple weeks. He stops the others deaths by simply existing as a punching bag of fate, being punished for continuing to exist after death.
At least, that's what I have planned. I don't know if I'll get past writing the first chapter.

Walking and talking down into the heart of the Qliphoth, V gives a deathbed confession, Nero has a confusing conversation, and Dante needs to stop keeping shit to himself.

Summary
At this point his disinterest in everything hinders his decision-making process so much that he's outsourced it to a coin. It has a larger capacity for pesky little things like emotions and good judgement and probably has a more affable personality to it too.
Alternatively: Dante descents to Hell. (A DMC 2 / DMC 4 AU that does and doesn't follow game canon)

The setting is after DMC4, years after Vergil's enslavement under Mundus and subsequent "death". Having escaped Hell, he is seeking Yamato in order to restore his feeble mortal coil.
