Summary
Roughly three weeks after the events of the original film, Jen inadvertently dreamfasts with an unidentified source located far from the Castle of the Crystal. With the hope of finding more gelfling, he and Kira set out on another journey across Thra, all while still trying to figure out their feelings for each other.
This is the first part of what I hope to be a series in what I see as an "extended epilogue" to the movie. I hope you enjoy.

Summary
The water tribe siblings stand tall besides him, a stern look on their faces. They're dressed in black, no indication of their roots other than the small beads adorning their hair and the tan color of their skin.
“You're the Fire Prince, right?”.
His body clenches at the title. “Zuko”, he offers. “There's no fire prince”.
The girl’s face stiffens, but when the boy -Sokka, a memory from years ago resurfaces- speaks, his voice is softer. “Zuko”, he repeats the name, and it makes Zuko's fingers numbly tingle. He tells himself it's from the cold.
-Or, The Fire Nation loses the war before the Avatar’s return. Aang cannot restore balance without starting another one. Ergo, a blazing revolution.

“Yeah, you’re right,” Jet bit back, no hesitation. “Didn’t even know your fucking name. Had to learn that from someone else. You know, I liked you, man. I –”
He cut himself off before that thought had time to flower, and he glared at the floor, shaking his head. He wasn’t going to give him that satisfaction. As much as he didn’t want to admit it, it stung. So, he left it just like it was, hanging there in the air.
It seemed to have zapped the energy from Zuko, at least, stunned silent. His gaze fell to the floor, ashamed, and… blushing? And Jet tried to pretend that didn’t make him feel anything at all.
Summary: Jet survived in Ba Sing Se. On his way to reunite with his gang and join the Avatar, he is forced to contemplate his morality. He is pitted against situations that question his understanding of the humanity of the Fire Nation, including the uncertain acquisition of an orphaned Fire Nation baby, as well as being forced to accompany none other than the Prince of the Fire Nation himself.
