Summary
The Hyrulean royal family was in quite the predicament.
By tradition, the first born daughter of the royal family shall carry the family name Zelda and unlock the powers used to seal Calamity Ganon. Traditions were broken when the Queen of Hyrule gave birth to twinsーtwo healthy, beautiful baby girls. They named the first daughter Zelda, hoping the Goddess Hylia would answer their prayers and keep tradition. The second daughter, named (Y/n), was hidden from the public eye at the request of the King.
Zelda spent her whole life with government studies and prayer being stuffed into her face, with almost no room for her own personal passions. (Y/n), on the other hand, had no royal duties to fulfill and instead learned alongside her sister, became a knight, and made a certain special friend. Despite having a place among those she's closest to, she still feels confused, as if something in her life quite hasn't clicked into place yet...
That is, until her entire world crumbles whenever she realizes that her true purpose is that of which her sister had been promised her entire life.

Since Link woke up everyone has been telling him what to do, where to go, who to meet, but it all comes to a head when he's sent to meet the Zora Prince for the first time in one hundred years. Link may not remember much in this new world, but something is telling him that the Domain is more than just a short stop on his path to defeating the Calamity. And he's not the only one who thinks that.
But the image of the Hylian Champion is a hard one to escape or ignore no matter how little of that title Link remembers. Just when it feels like everyone else but him can see Link's true destiny, he aches to make another choice. -

“When I acted in love for you,” she finished, meeting his gaze. “We need to get our past selves to realize their feelings.”
“You’re saying we need to play matchmaker.”

Or: Post-TOTK Link and Zelda, happily married, are investigating a series of disappearances when they’re suddenly sent to before the Calamity. They take it upon themselves to save everyone from impending doom, which includes helping their past selves get along. It’s a lot easier said than done. Oh, and more people are disappearing. There’s that too. -

The Yiga Clan has continued to cause problems as its ambition only grows, whilst the Rito revolt under the rule of a warrior with a burning resentment towards the Royal Family. As Hyrule collapses into civil war, a new threat makes itself known in the far north...

Link knew by the tone, that was really an order. Dad always said to be polite to adults. But this didn't seem like a “please” or “thank you” situation. Link wasn't too good at remembering all those other manners. Well, being polite was like being nice, right? So Link did the nicest thing he could think of.
“Wanna see my frog?”
Or a look at what might have been if pre-calamity Link had grown up with more freedom and got to hold on to more of his gremlin energy.

A century later, Link -- a member of the Yiga Clan -- is determined to befriend Zelda and the Champions. To get close to the enemy and learn their secrets for the good of the Clan.
Mostly, he's just trying to prove himself and avoid getting reassigned to a job he hates, but things get much more complicated than he expected. -
