Summary
Dabi is a kitsune. He's not the only one in the league who's not human. The league learns how to survive. Once they start getting that under control, Dabi is called out late at night to meet with Hawks. If it were any of his other contacts, he would first, tell them to fuck off, and second not be nearly as concerned about a late-night meeting in a secluded space. With Hawks though, this just feels like a trap. It is, but not the sort Dabi fears. Hawks just wants to be able to get some sleep this weekend.
The rest of the League are now learning how to survive that, too.

Based off the prompt: For whatever reason (maybe the fact that they bicker like an old married couple) Hawks thinks Shigaraki and Dabi are dating. It doesn't help that Hawks and Dabi flirt by being snarky and calling each other names.
Hawks tries to be very, very cool with the league being very close with each other. Specifically, Dabi and Shigaraki being very close with each other. He's not jealous, he's not allowed to feel that. He's just going to focus on this weird friendship feeling he has with the entire league and not focus on what he doesn't have with one of them.

Hawks would be lying if he said he hadn’t thought about kissing Dabi. He had. Often. Dabi was an attractive man, in that rugged, scarred way. Beautiful, like a lone tree standing atop a lightning-scorched hill. He thought about doing a lot of things with Dabi. That wasn’t unusual either. He was a bard and sometimes, the stereotypes about bards were true. He liked his pretty people and having a good time when he had a chance (It wasn’t like he was going to live a long life anyway, not with the commission practically owning him still).
He hadn’t expected to actually kiss the man. It was right up there with Dabi apologizing or thanking him for something sincerely. It just wasn’t likely to happen.
Except here they were, with Hawks’ back pressed into a tree and a rather insistent pair of lips on his own.

Summary
The dance had started as it usually does; Hawks uses Dabi and Dabi uses Hawks. An equivalent exchange of information. It was fine until Hawks decided to change it up, and Dabi’s been through this enough times that he can pick up the shift in mood and when situations pass that unseen mark when free turns into ‘free*’.
He’s not unfamiliar with that dance either, and he’s a willing dance partner if it gets him closer to his goals. What he’s not willing to do is step aside when Hawks starts looking at a new ‘dance partner’. Every dance has an end.
A less wholesome variation of the fic “a promise made…” where misunderstandings happen and Dabi finds he has more support than he knows what to do with.
