Summary
Caitlyn, a vampire and enforcer, has been assigned an undercover mission to gather intel on the infamous, but mysterious, gang of werewolves called the Moonfighters. The goal? Quell any uprisings in the undercity, and use the intel she gathers to destroy each werewolf gang in the undercity, one-by-one.
She doesn't expect, though, to have an annoying, cocky, -- and yes, admittedly hot -- werewolf to contend with.

There was barely any pause before Vi opened her mouth. She could hear part of her brain screaming 'no, stop, bad idea, shut the fuck up dipshit' but she ignored it like she always had.
"You don't have to. You know- hire a stranger."
Caitlyn looked at her quizzically. Am I really about to say this?
"I can be your blood bag, if you want."

Not the curse it once was- by the 21st century, vampirism had mutated into an inconvenient infection.
Due to their hunger being volatile and, if unsated, potentially fatal for the infected, vampires usually hired a professional "blood bag" to be by their side 24/7 during the months- sometimes years- it took for the illness to pass.
So when Caitlyn catches it, Vi doesn't hesitate to take up the role. Anything to help her best friend until she recovers.

Summary
One of the best things about becoming a monster is how much it changes up your pain tolerance. Vi can take even more hits than she used to, and it’s like she feels nothing at all — ever. Caitlyn can see the advantage in that, both financially and maybe some other ways too.
When you’re nearly immortal, you develop an eye for that kind of talent.
Or: werewolf Vi fights in the pits to finance finding her sister and vampire heiress Caitlyn wants to be the one holding the end of the leash.

“Pretend? Like pretending to date? Vi, are you delirious? When was the last time you ate? Is it a concussion? Have you been wearing your proper lacrosse gear?” Caitlyn rubs her temples, massaging them as if her head was on the verge of exploding.
“I’m just saying, we could both get something out of keeping this up.”
“It has to be a concussion,” Caitlyn murmurs under her breath.
Vi rolls her eyes at her dramatics, picking up her bag and throwing the strap over her shoulder before hopping out.
Caitlyn leans her head against the rest behind her, closing her eyes and clenching her long digits around the leather wheel.
Vi leans back down into the car, her hand on the roof as she pokes her head back in. “You don’t have to give me an answer now. Just… think about it.”
She finally shuts the door, leaving Caitlyn to do what she does best.
Caitlyn takes a while to pull away, but as soon as The Last Drop’s door shuts behind Vi, she’s gone.💌💙💘💌
Caitlyn and Vi are trying to juggle responsibilities, insecurities, family issues and their futures all at once when Caitlyn's old love letters accidentally get out and show them a new way of living.
